    2 questions re 1961

    1) My 61 is tuxedo black and was painted in 1993.
However up close and under bright lights there are
tiny scratches EVERYWHERE.The paint looks awesome from3 feet away
but I would like to get rid of the scratches...any suggestions?

2)I have put on 500 miles since my last oil change in March.
I checked the oil and it seems awefully dirty is this a concern?
It is an original block 230 hp.that was rebuilt in 1993 and has acumulated
    only 3500 miles since.

Thanks for any help I get.

    Re: 2 questions re 1961

    Ron -

I've found 3M "Finesse-It" to be excellent at removing swirl marks.

Detergent oils are designed to hold dirt/contaminants in suspension, and our vintage carbureted engines produce far more of that than modern engines; it's normal.
