c1 283 V8 & TH350

Is there anyone who can "talk" to me about hooking up a 283 V8 & TH350.

Mark,

The TH 350 will bolt up fine with the normal 350 CU IN flywheel.

This answer does not adress the rear mount.

If you are going to go to the trouble to change, install a 200R4 and get an overdrive also.

Verle has a good suggestion with the 200R4. Since 283s used lower final drives than other engines like 327s and 350s due to lower torque, the gas mileage can be improved greatly with an overdrive.
