    '69 Convertible install

My '69 came to me with the old carpet removed, and new carpet in a box. Everything looks pretty straightforward except for the plastic pieces where the lap belts pass through.

Do I cut a slit, or a larger opening in the carpet for these pieces?

Where are the plastic pieces located...held down by the sill plate? Is there carpet showing behind the plastic pieces before the quarter trim, what about between the plastic pieces and the door sill.

    Thanks in advance.
