    77 AC Compressor type

A vette owner in Argentina, NCRS member too, has a 77 AC car with a missing compressor. I would like to know what type is the correct unit for his car (Frigidaire?). Three brakets are still in the car in front of passeng. head. No brakets in the exh. manifold. Car is in the 40K range serial #. Thanks for your help. Roberto NCRS #30019, RMC

    Re: 77 AC Compressor type

Roberto, 1977 Corvettes used the "DELCO AIR" R-4 radial style compressor. This compressor was used mid to late '76 through all of '77 production. This model compressor number is #1131078.
