Re: covette value please
Wayne, do yourself a favor andf Saturday morning call Proteam corvettes, 888-592-5086. As for Brian Hay and these people will give you a better idea idea what you should be paying. Just write down what the car has and hasn't,conditon of paint, interior, how many owners etc. They sell the cars and know if your getting a good car or the ripped. It's worth the time and free call. I would do it that's why I recommend you too.grr#33570- Top

Re: covette value please
Eddie, I agree with GRR. Proteam can help. Also, try Dan Mershon also in Ohio. As for the value of the car GRR is probably pretty close. I'd also factor in what you want to do with the car. Is it totally original?? If so you might have a potential Bowtie car to play with. That can be alot of fun. Also, if the car is in nice shape and maybe needs a few things but everything works you could consider McClellan or Founders programs. The point here is that at the price GRR states for the car thats a small amount of money for alot of fun in the NCRS programs!! Who cares about the horse power at thtat point!!

Re: covette value please
Eddie, by the way, a friend of mine found a '75 coupe in Phoenix. The car was totally original with L-82 and 4-spd. It also had the Z07 package (rare for a '75) and it went for $9,000. I recall the miles were about 30K. That was two years ago and we both felt the price was a bit high....but there's one example.

Re: covette value please
Eddie, I don't think cars are more or less expensive by region per se. However, you may pay less for a convertible in a snow state in the dead of winter and more for the same car in Florida!!! who knows. I looked at the link with the picture of the car. It looks nice. I'd still try to get the price down some. A '75 coupe with air is nice. But they are low horse power and not very sought after overall. You might also look around a littel more. If you are comfortable spending $12,000 (assuming that's in your budget range). Take a look at the Drive Line. There are a ton of cars for sale by NCRS people and you should be able to find something in that range. By the way the Northwest Chapter News letter had a nice 70 coupe for sale in the $16,000 range with a 350-350. That's a better deal in my book. There aren't that many 70's out there and that package is a nice one at 350HP.
Good Luck Bill- Top

Re: covette value please
Eddie, since you're asking, I feel the need to get my two bits in. If you want a 75, look for a convertable or L-82 option. If you want a coupe, look for a 69-72 bumper car. I believe in the long run these cars ,in the 12k range, will hold and increase in value for you.
