Roof Panel to door weatherstrip on a 66 Coupe.

My 66 Coupe has just been painted and new weather stripping has been installed on both doors. The roof panel to door seal is also new. The doors have been adjusted and close nicely. However when I put the new roof panel seal on and close it against the new weatherstrip on the door it forces the front corner of the door over the vent window out a bit and causes a leak when we water tested it. Remove the roof panel seal and close the door and no leak. So it appears the roof panel seal is too thick. We could trim the seal I suppose. Does anybody have any tips or suggestions. Thanks in advance. Dennis

I had/have similar problems on my '66 Coupe. The best thing for it was time and sun. Part the car outside in the sun and it softens up and over time the fit is becoming much better. Good luck.
