On 58 FI does a Black lead from the coil resistor go to the FI electric choke coiled resistor?

Also does the Black wire with the White stripe just go from the other end of the choke coil to ground?

Geoffrey, Yes the black wire from the choke cover goes to the ballast resistor. Make sure you are on the 12 volt side though. Typically the original choke harness was really long and sloppy. Way too long in fact but that's original.
The white striped wire goes to any one of the three screws and retainers holding the choke cover on. John
