The "Last Sting Ray" televised episodes..

I'm sure a lot of you recorded or watched this televised series. I must say I enjoyed it, and found its content different than I had envisioned it to be. Will be watching the 'Barret-Jackson' hoopla of course in January and of course this live televised auctioning of this "very important" '67 Corvette. Although I think it was nice that someone did take this car and have it restored to its former glory, I personally wouldn't put it on a pedestal that was any higher than other '67's, this model is certainly a bright spot in Corvettes history, but it's only one chapter of a very illustrious life.

I was happy to see that the '71 models did get their few seconds of fame in, very nice.

I started watching what I thought was a half hour program. A few hours later it was past my bedtime but well worth the time. Hope they run this again in the near future.

Next Airing For The "Last Sting Ray"

I stumbled upon the show and immediately started recording. Unfortunately they show it in 1/2 hr segments, so I didn't get it all. However, it is listed to be shown again next Thursday on the Speed Channel.

Not sure if the time listed here is with the offsets of different time zones or would be the same time across the country. Time here shows 5:30pm-6pm. Pacific Time. For those wishing to record it all, would suggest recording a couple of hrs to be sure to capture each segment.

I too appreciated the acknowledgment that the "STINGRAY" does in fact continue with C3's!!!!

I too thought it was a half-hour show. Better set a recorder for three hours; it ran from 8:00 until 11:00.

There are many NCRS members getting their few minutes of fame during the segment taped in Old Town last January.

I was glad to see that they finally re-trained the narrator (who has done all of their Corvette segments in the past) to pronounce Zora's name correctly - "Dun-Tawv" instead of the "Dun-tove" he pronounced in past shows.

Some of the footage from the episodes was from the January Old Town, Florda meet. I was excited to see my yellow 1986 Pace Car in one of the scenes. Bunky

                  Dale -

Here's the complete future schedule for "The Last Sting Ray" - all are 30-minute segments, but it doesn't say which of the six segments each one is.

Get a season pass on TiVo for The Last Sting Ray and it will record all six half hour shows when ever Speed Channel airs them. I got them all and need to watch them again as I was on for five seconds. I seen alot of the regular regional judges in the footage.

                          John, one thing

I have seen over my lifetime, particularly during miltary service, is that media types, especially reporters, just hate to do homework. Any time I have had personal knowledge of something in the news, I could see where they got it wrong, and I mean really easy stuff.

This is what ruined Dan Rather. Everybody was concentrating on the typeface/font of the Bush memo, while any military pilot could have told them the subject of the memo was totally bogus. Zero research. (insert derisive snort at this point)

Just for the record, I have known how to pronounce "Zora Arkus Duntov" since I was a tot. I have been riding in this car since I had to stand up to see out the windows.

I thought it was an infomercial for ProTeam to boost the price for the upcoming Barrett-Jackson auction but it also had some nice pictures of other Corvettes.
