    Yes it is to bad that not all the proposed engine options for the '70 Corvette did not materialize. I think the 1970 model certainly got shorted on the big block options, an LT2, LJ1, LS7 would have made quite the ordering process much more fun.

    It is interesting that the same RPO option designation was used for two engines of diverse differences. Different pistons, different carbs, different coils, different distributors, different heads, different flywheel, different clutch, different waterpump, different exhaust manifolds, different air cleaner assemblies (for the most part), different oil pan and so on.

        i owned a new 70 chevelle with the 454 450 HP

        engine. why GM used LS-6 for 2 different engines is beyond me

            You think (some) Corvettes are valuable???

            Did anyone see the 70 LS6 Chevelle convertible the other day that was auctioned for OVER $1M?
            Unbelieveable!!!!
            Ya, I know this is a Corvette site-----------------but Corvettes are STILL made by Chevrolet! And I'm happy to own one of each.
