    Distributor Rebuilder

    Does anyone know of a distributor machine operator/rebuilder? One who is competant and can do it in a timely fashion. I can do the mechanical rebuild, but the springs and weights I am not educated in this area and I would only be guessing about its advance curve. What do some of you do? I have never seen my rebuilt original 65 350 HP engine run. The distributor that came on this engine appears in great shape. The shaft needs to be shimmed for the endplay tolerance for sure. That's the easy part. Anyone? Thanks Dick Gutman

              I should note this distributor has the foil dated tag from a 1967 engine assignment. Looks just like the other 65 dated dist., in poorer condition, distributor I have. This 67 dist. has newer weights in it. Does anyone know what some of these rebuilders have charged, keeping in mind not all distributor needs are the same? Thanks Dick Gutman

                      Dave Fiedler of TI Specialty charges by the hour for work on distributors. So, that "automatically takes into account" the differences that may exist from one job to another.                               Dave Fiedler of TI Specialties does outstanding work. I am very pleased with the results he achieved on the distributor for my 58.
