63 to 67 jack handles, Differences with the holes?

Could some one please explain the different years that had no hole, 1 hole or 3 holes, in 63,64,65,66 and 67. Thanks for anyones help.

Noland Adams does a pretty good job..

of reciting the differences.

1963-64, no holes in handle, PN 3780737.

1965-66, one hole in handle, PN 3858953, released 9/64

1967, three holes in handle, PN 3898172

All versions are otherwise the same from a geometry standpoint.
