53-55 paint margins

A friends 55 he bought new is un-restored paint margins, what's interesting are the lid arms
1 the trunk arm same color as trunk
2 the soft top arm same color green
Has some one els also seen this before??

When I rescued my '57 from a dirt-floor garage in boxes many years ago, it still had what was left of its original paint; I took many photos of the original paint breaks and gave them to my painter, and he duplicated them exactly as photographed. The photo below shows the top compartment lid, and the link shows the trunk (lighting in that photo makes the trunk color look different than the inside of the lid, but they're the same). All the hinge arms were the same color as the interior paint.

my 54 is the exact same way
the trunk lid and conv top lid were painted attached to the car
my arms, bolts,and shims are all red.
I have all the photos when I did the disassy
also nice long runs on the underside of the conv top lid
