    i have sent out buckets of bolts for zinc plating after i have glass bead them---i like the original look---only draw back i have run into is having a bolt head "POP" off ---this has an occurance rate of about 5%---luckily they have been in a location that is easily accessible---12" X 12" box of goodies cost me $65 with a week turnaround---shop for prices etc---

        Thanks everyone for the input. I tried the Caswell's plating system once but didn't get the hang of it. The parts looked good but soon rusted, I'm sure it was me and not the system.

            That's a result of hydrogen embrittlement - any fasteners that are commercially re-plated should be annealed after plating to avoid the issue; post-plating annealing is a mandatory process requirement for all plated OEM fasteners.
