I probably placed my post in the wrong spot and that created the confusion. I was refering to the 3733431 cam, which does cover the standard 283s from '57 and also was used in all 327s (exc sp-hiperf) through at least '64. This would include the 250hp and 300hp 327. At least that's what my '64 P&A catalog indicates.

If I remember right

The camshaft was changed in 1960 in the two barrel 283 and it dropped the horsepower rating from 185 in '59 to 170 in '60.
