I've got a few questions about the v/w assembly. I got the newly chromed frames back from Charlie Santorelli. They are very nice. I need to know what order is best to re-install everything. It's been over 7 years since I took them apart and not exactly sure about a couple of things.
The one thing I have noticed is the small vertical w/s has small tabs that bend over into the window run channel. It looks like the top 2 tabs will remain straight until the window felt is installed and then these 2 are bent over last. It sure doesn't look like they are long enough. Don't know exactly who made them and was just wondering if the w/s from some other manufacturer might have longer tabs.
What order should I start reassembling, ie what step should come 1st, 2nd, etc. Is the glass in the frame during the assembly or is it installed after the frame and weatherstripping is assembled?
One of the glass frame pins fits a little tight into the hole in the frame after the rechrome. What would be a way to slightly enlarge this without damaging anything.
Sorry if these seem trivial but I know a lot of you guys have done this and I haven't. I sure don't want to mess anything up as expensive as all of this stuff is.
TIA
Bryan
