If a C3 car has a different interior than the "Recommended" ie;a red interior in a 68 silver car, what would the trim tag read ? Would it read Special or red? Thanks to all that respond and Happy Holidays. Bill #20328

Re: C3 Interiors
Just to tag onto what Patrick confirms...the term "recommended" is for marketing purposes only and never shows up in factory documentation. I've got a 78 with "non-recommended" interior and a 2000 with "non-recommended." Build sheets for either fail to document this...they just show what was built.Tom Russo

Re: C3 Interiors
If you can, try to find the tank sticker or order copy, there is a chance it is a COPO. I once bought a '69 coupe that was painted maroon at the time with saddle interior, but the trim tag coded Daytona Yellow with Saddle. I thought it kind of odd because supposedly you could not get that combination in '69. Got it home, discovered from the tank sticker that it was a COPO.- Top
