    C2 (1965) A/C Vacuum Line Connections

    Hello,

I am in the process of reconnecting the A/C vacuum hose that comes from the intake manifold vacuum port on the rear of the intake. One line goes to the p/b booster and the other goes to a "T" connection. From there, one line goes back inside the interior compartment but I cannot find the location of where the other vacuum connection connects to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    James West
    Omaha, NE.

A vac line comes from the manifold fitting and enters a tee. One vac hose goes from that tee to the suction throttle valve, the other vac line goes across the firewall and into the interior through the same grommet as the oil line, it turns and goes to the brass actuator on top of the a/c distribution box. A smaller vac line comes off of the other side of the actuator, returns back through the same grommet, across the firewall and connects to the heater control valve.

        Ken,

Thanks for your quick response. I had all the other vac lines connected correctly per your description. I must not be looking close enough to see the port on the STV, does it (the vac line port ont the STV) point down or towards the right side of the car?

        Thanks again,

        James West

It points 90 degrees from the black plastic device.

                James,

The black plastic device , Abolute Pressure Regulator, is at the bottom of the STV valve, at least on my 66. It functions as some sort of altitude/pressure compensator.

                    Randy,

Thanks for the response, I found the vac. hose connection last night and reconnected it.

                    Thanks,
