    63 Master Cylinder Cap

I figured I would start a new thread with the pictures of 3 caps.

This one is the one I questioned as it does not have all the text on the cap. The Lettering is 4/32 in size.

This is from Verne Frantz. all lettering and the lettering is the smaller 4/32.

From the discussion on the DB the two with all the lettering, regardless of size meet the JG description.

Harry, Nice pics on the caps. I like Verne's cap with the smaller lettering. My 3 caps all have the smaller lettering. But as I wrote yout via email I would personally not rule out the fact that the larger lettering MAY have been used also. But I don't care for the first pic at all that omits the Fill to 1/4", etc. I am sticking with the smaller lettering as a norm but not necessarily the only "real deal". The larger lettering is so easy to spot that if only the DB members would glance at their caps and write in we may be able to come up with a pattern. I believe that Jorjorian agrees with Verne's style of cap also. Thanks, John

My early(4XXX) car has the large full letters. I believe it to be original to the car. I know it is to 1970.

                            Hi guys,

Great thread. Got me curious to check the detail on my car.

My #39XX (late November) cap has the full detail with large letters.

I also have another cap that I picked up at a swap meet years ago. I finally tracked it down in my miscellaneous parts shelves.

It is identical except it has the small letters.
