GF-90 fuel filter

I was going through the boxes of parts I got with a 1964 FI car and see a old NOS box with a GF 90 fuel filter, it is silver with red letters and a ring about 3/4 to the top, the GF-90 markings are at a angle not straight is this a real one??.....Thanks In advance John Meissinger

I beleive the real ones were black satin finish with white letters. I just sold a NOS that way.

According to the judging manual original cars also have been seen with both the silver and red letters and the black with white letters.

John, I for one, have never seen filters like you describe, but I could visualize how it could happen for a batch of filters

I have a couple of very old NOS GF-90 filters with no notch on the flats, and the red emblem, but the emblems are configured like the white on black versions. '62FI and early '63 for sure were silver.
