'57 - 245 hp

I have an early '57 build date Oct. 12/56; dual 4 barrel carbs, tag #2419S and 2362S. The rear air horn has cast #6-1310. Can anyone tell me what this belongs to and what would be correct for my car? Thanks

I believe the correct airhorn was #1299 and the main body 049..others can correct me if thats not right.

Per Colvin's book the 2362 S & the 2419 S on an early 57 would likely have a
6-1151 or 6-1156 air horn and a 049 bowl. I don't find the 6-1310 horn listed so it is probably from a pass car. Rob

'56-'57 Judging Manual states "1957 Air Horn casting 6-1151 is possible but not likely. 6-1156 and 6-1203 were used on 1956 style carburetors...until about November 1956..." Also "The last known use of 6-1151 was in August, 1956 carburetor production." Since you stated "tag numbers" in your original post, the date code on the tags may help to pin this down for you.
