    C-3 70 calipers

    Can calipers be resleeved as a DIY project at home???

    Not unless that you have a Bridgeport or similar milling machine, the necessary jigs to hold the caliper halves, access to the correct stainless tubing, and a press to install the tubing.

    Seriously just go with one of the reputable rebuilders, Lonestar, CSSB, SSBC, etc.

      Thanks Dick! I may have asked that question before. I'd rather have the actual calipers from my car rebuilt than an exchange, and if I can do it my self... but some things are better left to the professionals.

        I sent mine to Vette Brakes, and they sent my originals back. They even painted them (correct) black when I requested it.

          I've had the same experience that Patrick has had with Muskegon brake (who sends them to Lonestar)--you can get your originals back--just takes longer and costs a bit more.

            I sent my 69's to Precision Engineering at www.fixvetteparts.com/ and they also painted correct color. Did a nice job as they were realy ugly.
