Can anyone help me some info? My fater and I just put the winshield in my 65 roadster which I have been restoring since I purchased it about two years ago as a basket case. And I put in all the moldings and now my doors will not close. It seems that the vent window frames are restricting the doors from closing. Do I have to take the door panels back off and try to re-adjust the vent frame, is that the way it's done? It looks like the right vent frame has to be pushed back towards the rear of the car and the left looks like it should be adjusted at the top of the vent frame to be pulled out more to the left. It's hitting the windshield molding at the top or is this done by hinge shimes? I dont know and I have nothing to go by? If anyone could please help? Thanks....Joe

Re: 65 roadster will doors not close
Joe,
I'm no expert here but when I purchased my car the right side vent frame did not seal at the weatherstrip at the upper portion of the windshield frame. I took off the door panel and was able to get the adjustment I needed out of the vent frame. I then had to make some adjustment to the rear window track to accommodate the adjustment I made to the vent to achieve a proper operating side window. If you are satisfied with your door fit I would leave that alone and try to see what you can gain by adjusting the window system.
