Whaaaatt??? Say it isn't so..thats just Peachy!!

Just what I needed there Mike..What your telling me is that I hung my ass out and then handed you a loaded gun to shoot it off ???

There has to be a diabolical plot here somewhere. Maybe John "photoshopped" the pic the separate the words before he posted it originally on the Corvette Forum 2 weeks ago. Huh? Not buying that? Hmmm.. OK then I'll sleep on it tonight and try to come up with something better tommorrow.

Chriminy Sakes Alive!! Where are all you other C2 brothers and sisters anyway. The moniker for our beloved MidYears a "MISTAKE" ??...God Forbid !!

Hath thy "Sting" dis-emboweled my last "Ray" of hope ?? Nay Nay, for I shall never give up the fight!!

      Hoisted By Yer Own, Er...Imagination??

I bet your imagination paled in comparison to what that trim designer came up with trying to save his job when the bosses found out they had sold, what, a 150K cars with the name misspelled. LOL

Circa 1961 or 1962...Designer seated at his drafting table, thoughtfully chewing on his pencil: "Hmmm...'Stingray?!'...Is that one word or two? Yeah...Two, it has to be two, but let's capitalize the second word this time." And the rest, as they say, was history

When the car was raced, it was called "Stingray". When it came back for Styling and the GM publicity tours, the badging may have been changed. With the new 1963 "Sting Ray", I bet the badging was changed to "Sting Ray" to match.

yea..I bet so too. I've got a couple of old article written about the car somewhere at home. Maybe I can find old pics. If not, I'll photoshop some and get to the bottom of this scam..

            Mistake...no way hosea'
