I am working on my Holley 3815 from my 1967 390hp K19 car and found #71 jets installed. The car runs quite rich and I can't see anything else wrong. I have no power valve issues as that area is completely dry. Does anyone have a Holley book or know these carburetors well enough to tell me if these are correct? I think they should be #67's but I could be all wrong. All help is greatfully accepted. Kindest regards to all, Rick

Re: Holley 3815 Jetting
Primary .067, Sec .073 per the '67 Chassis service manual. Sounds about right from some experience with Holleys.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: Holley 3815 Jetting
Rick if you have the carb apart a vacuum test on the power valve will verify the power valve is OK. A replacement single power valve can be purchased from various automotive stores. All it takes is a stumble/backfire starting the engine or taking off from a stop sign to rupture the power valve. A quick test after an occurance of this is to remove the air cleaner lid and put a finger over the vertical vent. If the engine dies right away, the power valve is not being held closed with engine vacuum. Using Holley's since 1974 this simple test has always worked for me.- Top
