I had carb dealings with him as well. I'm lucky, the only thing it cost me was a negative feedback .

Re: His eBay handle is "mztercarb"

I ordered 6 items from C------ Corvete in late Aug. In Sept. they shipped 2 items, never said they were out. The other items were back ordered. I called them and had them cancel the back orders and ordered from another place.A few weeks ago( 2 monthes later) the back orders showed up. I got to pay shipping on items I had canceled. Rather than call them it was easier to sell them on ebay and never order from them again. THEY will be the last place for me to order from. Dale PS Thanks for letting me know who "mztercarb" is. He is also out.

--------Lectric Limited is owned by Als ex partner in the Chicago Vettefest shows. I am 100% sure that L/L is NOT owned by the owner of Chicago Corvette. I also have not had any problems with L/L other than the plug-wires breaking down too quickly.........Bill S

If CC is a sponsor of those forums, like the NCRS, expect nothing will be done and your thread will be locked.

On the other hand, once it's established by CF that a sponser is unethical (requires many complaints and some investigation), then unlike the NCRS, the vendor is dropped as a sponser. Maxie Price, a dealer near Atlanta, is a perfect example; it took them a little while, but then the garbage got taken out to the curb.

My humble non-political opinion is that complaints like this NEED to be considered seriously by the NCRS. A file should be opened by the President, and if enough evidence is accumulated, the vendor's advertising should be refused from NCRS publications. While the revenue of legitimate vendors is desireable, the NCRS should not facilitate defrauding our own membership by known unethical vendors.

I wish we had a place we could rate all venders (and buyers) like EBAY does.

Yea but go look at his Ebay rating and he looks a real legitimate "power seller". Ya can't argue with his feedback looks great, if that's all you had, how would you know he's a flake?

...Lectric Limited about a B, only because I think they're $60+ plug wires suck as regards any real usable longevity on the road... Trailer Queens, OK...

                            Hello Matt,
What is the part that you bought from CC? What year Corvette is it for?
I am just wondering how rare this part is?
                            Regards,
                            Drew Papsun

                              Hello Everybody!!

I am the LUCKY one who purchased this part!

For all interested it is a set of 997 heads for my 57 Corvette dated F227 or something very close to that.

997 heads are more rare than 391 heads! I spent a year looking for a set, and when I finally found a set I knew I had to have them!

I checked MTZERCARB's user rating, and like you have read above..... he is a huge power seller. Then I do a little more research and see that he is part of Chicago Corvette Supply, whom I have seen advertised in my NCRS Driveline, so I figure this guy is the real deal. I was the winning bidder at 2895.00

The next day I decide that I am a fool for spending 3 grand for the right heads with the wrong dates for the correct assembly of my engine. I called Al and he was very nice, sounded VERY knowledgeable and even understood my situation. We agreed that he would re-list the ebay ad, and not give me bad feedback for changing my mind. He also told me it was my lucky day, and that he had a friend with a set of 997 heads with a PERFECT date for my engine's assembly, they would only cost me 100 dollars more!

I had a hard time passing up the opportunity to have a perfectly dates set of heads, regardless of the price, so I gave him my debit card #. That was a MONTH ago! I have still not even received the heads.

Matt emailed me today and explained the situation.

I called Al immediately to see if my heads had been shipped, and to see if I was going to run into the same problem as Matt with a warranty stamp that will render a point deduction during NCRS judging,

He said that he knew that he had an upset customer.

He assured me that I had nothing to worry about, as the heads I bought are an entirely different set of heads. He then PROMPTLY said "thanks and have a good day" then he hung the phone up on me!!!! I SURE DO GET THE FEELING that he was rushing me off the phone!

A whopping 3000 dollars was charged over a month ago, and I still don't even have the heads!!! I don't want to be rushed off the phone. He told me I should have the heads by Tuesday.... so believe me.... I will post what I find at my back door ASAP.

The sad part about this is that I was the one who actually supported Al Fierke and Chicago Corvette on Dec. 4th when I replied on the 67 tri-power threads entitled something like where to send out his tri-power for resto. Boy did I feel like a fool after reading the posts following my reply!

If it wasn't for this board, and MANY THANKS TO MATT.... I would have or could be totally screwed, as I am only 33 years old and have never even seen 997 heads in real life! This is my FIRST body off restoration, and yes I am doing it for judging one day. Whether by me or the next guy... that is the quality of the restoration that I am already 500 hours into. This guy COULD have and probably would have totally pulled the whool over my eyes, but thanks to everyone here... I am going to do a serious inspection of these heads upon delivery.... If they create any mechanical issues, or will render any point deductions, I will happily join in on anything I can do to STICK it BACK to him, including taking out an entire page in the DRIVELINE!!! How about this for creativity...... I will also post adds under his for sale stuff on ebay.... like someone did last year to stop bidding and bust the guy on ebay with the fake 67 L-88 White over red int. that used to be the well documented White over blue interior Shriner's Car! If I get screwed this guy is going down!!!! KARMA.

                              Matt your posting is working!!!!

I was sooooo close to sending this guy my 435 tri-power intake. Al was going to change it for another with the correct date and set it up with 3 "real" 67 carbs and all of the associated hardware and aircleaner etc.... There is NO WAY he is getting my valueable parts or another dime from me at this point.

He also really dogged a HUGE WEST COAST corvette dealer that we all know... telling me that if I went with them, I would be getting the wrong stuff with fake stampings from them, where as his stuff would be guaranteed to be the REAL DEAL!, Well, we shall see BIG AL!

As Desi Arnez said...... ".......... YOU HAVE SOME SPLAINING TO DO!!!!!!"

Maybe I'm wrong but aren't the dates and part numbers under the valve covers?
