    Re: Repro TI coils

Geoff, I order a coil for my 67 L71 from Goat Hill 2 months age and still haven't gotten it. I tried Souther Georgia Corvette and they did'nt have any. I'd like to know if you do find any other supplier.

      Try Corvette Specialties of Maryland...

That's where I got my last one and they were in stock...

A friend ordered one from restoration parts found the can housing to be slightly larger then original and did not fit into it holder on LT-1 car. I am using one of Pauls coils on my 71 LT-1 for the past 10 years with no problems not a trailer queen used on nice days.

About a year ago I used a repro #263 coil from Long Island with no problems.

              For what it's worth...

I got a repro "086" from MaryJo a while back, and it must be perfect. I installed it as part of a tune-up, and I can tell you the car has not run this well since the engine was rebuilt in 1970. The coil may not be why, but it sure didn't cause a problem, either. Dunno where she got it.

%99 of 086 coils are repro's made by BOB. He just sleeved a good newer coil. Some times he found older one having the face looking original like the pic. (four holes to hold the locking plate) if not it's a newer coil .
