Re: Drivers
Do you mean after getting a Top Flight award driven to and from the Chapter, Regional and National event, then getting a Founders Award last year after driving from Nebraska to Bowling Green and back then to Park City and back?
Yes I drive my restored C2 Corvette, Isn't that what they are for???

Re: Drivers
I drive my 66 "no award" vert all year round. Never in the snow or wet, but when the roads are dry, I'm in it.

Re: Drivers
I drive my 66 at least a few times a week, 11.0-1 compression ratio and all. Had REAL NOS GM KO wheels and NOS Good Year Power Cushion blacks for my trip from IL to FL. Wore the nubs off the tires by the time I was out of Illinois.- Top

Re: Drivers
Roy,
Haven't had it judged yet but will in the Spring 07 but I drive it until the first snow sticks on the ground. Here is a picture of my son driving and me taking the photo on Thanksgiving driving on Woodward.

Re: Drivers
Roy
First, I will take this opportunity to thank you for continuing to share a wealth of information on this board. After having turned our 1960--270 HP into an over restored museum piece (1,800 hours of restoration), we were afraid to drive it---so we sold it. Now, we drive (whenever reasonable weather permits), maintain, and keep restoration work on our 1961--230 HP to a minimum---a much more rewarding formula.

Re: Drivers
Roy,
I spent 10 years restoring my 68 coupe to factory new condition and have no awards but drove it for 1,100 miles this summer. Will drive it again next summer.
I don't drive it in rain or bad weather (snow etc. as I live in New England) but it is not a trailer queen.

Re: Drivers
I drive my '66 every chance I get. I live in Colorado Springs and love taking it on winding roads up in the Rockies. I have even had it on roads at over 12,000 feet in elevation! It struggles a bit in that thin air, but has never quit on me.- Top
