C-1 GAS CAP

Hello All,
A couple of weeks ago I read a post about 61-62 gas caps. It seems that 61 and 62 have vented tanks and require a non vented gas cap. I wished I had know that before I bought a vented cap hoping to cure my gas slosh problem. My question is where to get a non vented cap. All the distributers Paragon, Corvette Central and even GM parts direct only list a vented cap for 62s.

John, check the archives for last spring. I listed all current nonvented gas caps that matched that could be used and purchased from your local auto parts store to solve your problem. Some even looked very close to the repros for less than 5 bills. jon

Jon's post was on August 11, 2005, titled "C-1 nonvented caps". In addition to those noted in his listing, the Stant #10810 is also non-vented.

Thanks guys,
I picked up a Stant # 10810 ($4.50), today and will try it out this weekend. Not to mention the fact you can't pass up a drive on a 60 degree day in December in New England!
