C1 1961 engine block

Does anyone have any information on the use of engine block casting number 3789935 in a 61 Corvette? Some sources say only casting number 3756519 and others say both. Thanks

I believe that a second engine block has been verified as having been used in very late production '61 cars. I know there was an article in the "Restorer" some time ago (7 to 15 years?) about this issue, but only in very late production '61 cars.

I believe Noland Adams and other sources acknowlege the possibility of 935 blocks on 1961 cars after serial number 9500 onwards but there was no clean break. 519 blocks were peppered through the end of the production run depending on availability. I know of at least three 935 blocks in very late (mid July-onwards) cars which appear to be original. All are base hp models.

It would be helpful to hear from members who have 935 blocks in documented original cars to further support of debunk the myth.
