    C! Wiper Motor

    C1 wiper motor voltage

Recently replaced my distributor to an HEI with a 383 stroker motor in my '59.
Removed the white resistor from my dash and want to run the wiper motor front a 12 volt line from the dash, probably off the ammeter or someplace.

I am hesistant to do this as the resistor was in line to the wiper motor.
Did this resistor act like a fuse or did it limit the voltage going into the wiper motor.

The wiper motor works and I do not wish to burn it out.
    Thanks for your help

Lee, The resistor was only used to lower....

...the voltage to the coil. The wiper motor uses 12 volts and is hooked to the 12 volt side of the resistor. So, you simply could solder the original 12 volt wire that went to the resistor to the wiper motor.
