The original 1956/1957 Florida Sebring International Grand Prix 12 Hours of Endurance signs.

The crest sign was on the overhead canopy at the entrance to Sebring and the 12 foot long AMOCO CORVETTE sign was used overhead to identify the Corvettes Pit location.

These will be on display at next years Bloomington Gold Special Collection.

The signs have been in dry storage for the last 50 years.

Here's a match for the sign - I knew if I dug deep enough in the top dresser drawer I'd find my '57 Sebring entrant's lapel pin; it came with a letter from Alec Ullmann (which I can't find) as part of our entry credentials for the #58 Cooper-Climax.

Thanks for the post. I am told John Masters of Sebring Florida was the person that painted the Sebring signs.

If anyone knows or knows of a John Masters from Sebring..please check in.

Researching the sign I met the guy that owns the #51 MGA that was owned and raced by David Ash at Sebring in 1957. David is featured in the Amoco produced film of Sebring 57...towing his 57 MGA to the event with a yellow 57 Chevy convertible.

Anyone that knows of David Ash..please check in.
