Any one here live near Sarasota Fl. Around the the 14th of next month my wife and I are flying out to pick up an 06 Corvette from Motorcars of Sarasota then driving down to Marathon in the keys for about two weeks to visit friends then coming back to Ca. Like to meet some Corvette nuts on our drive. Thanks ROY

If you're going to be in FL in mid January, why not consider the NCRS event at Old Town?

If you come back up the east coast on your return trip, you will be near my town, north of Tampa. Stop in and say hi.

I'm taking phone numbers and kicking A**S (No !) Just taking numbers ,names, towns and state . Did that many years ago when we drove our 55 around the country 10,000 miles and met great people. We'll be coming back on Hwy 10 to Ca.

That's exactly the same thing I did when I came back from San Francisco with my 396 car in the 70's. Went down Hwy 1 to LA., then to Phoenix, Dallas, Atlanta and finally back north to IL. Stopped to see friends all along the 4500 mile six week trip.

I'm about 25 miles N of Tampa, along the water. I'll send info.

That was before the 2005 hurricane season. Tampas on the other side of the state now. (yea, sorry, meant west. been turned around ever since I moved down here 7 years ago)

Michael, where at N. of Tampa? I've been going to Jerry Clark's shop in Hernando Beach and now Spring Hill for the past 4 or 5 years in late January. John Hinckley and a few other guys also show up and we do a few road trips to the meet in Orlando and generally have a good time.

Spring Hill is about 20 miles north of where I live. I got together with John Hinckley in Spring Hill last year and have plans to do the same this year.

Incredible car cruise at a local shopping center on hwy 50 in Sprg hill every thursday night. Always 200+ muscle, street rod and custom etc cars. John and I plan to attend. I'll get more detailed directions if interested. I've been there several times but I don't remember exactly how far east it is from hwy 19.

Why not attend the January meet at Old Town? I, for one, would really like to meet you. When we go to CA visiting my brother in Torrance, it's a long way to your place. Orlando is fairly close to I-75, maybe 1 1/2 hours at most ... a lot less to Kissimmee. Hope to see you there.

We spent about all of 2004 in Springhill helping my in-laws. There was a good crusie-in at the Chicken joint on Hwy 50 Thursday nights. Must have out grown the parking area and moved to the shopping center lot. Rob

Have better info/directions to the Spring Hill/Brooksville car show. It's at Chick-Fil-A, 13143 Cortez BL (hwy 50) in Brooksville. Exactly 3.9 miles east of US hwy 19. Starts around 5:00 PM.

Yes, every Thur night Mike. Lot of VERY nice cars show up. I drive the "rat rod" 66 big block up there at least a few times a month.
