67 firewall #'s above heater box

My friend has a 67 435 roadster. Above the heater box is some #'s on the firewall.. I have a 67 that does not have this. The other day i saw another 67 vette that had the #'s as well above the heater box. Can someone please tell me if those #'s are on every car or only some 67 vettes? Hopefully someone knows what #'s i am talking about? Thanks for any help on this matter.

I don't know about EVERY Corvette but mine has the numbers. They appear to be a part number for the fiberglass piece.

Check the archives--there was a discussion about this within the last 2-3 weeks. I believe that consensus was that it was not on all of them.

It was on mine there and on the back fiberglass in front of the gas tank. Both numbers were M195. It is my guess based on my build date that it identified the 195 job in May of 67 but not sure.

I think we're talking about numbers molded into the fiberglass above the heater box. My guess is that you're referring to grease-pencil numbers written below the heater box. Those that you refer to would likely be the job number.
