Well because I'm getting older, I decided that my wife and I needed a new 06 Corvette, I love the sunset orange color near to the color of our 55, it's a Convertible with automatic , power tan top, beige interior with all the goodies, GPS , head-up. Power leather heated seats, CD and on and on. Selling my 67 to get it, had that 67 for 25 years , time some one els could enjoy it. But keeping the old 55 Vett, it's does hurt to see the 67 go it's a great Vett.
Out with the 67 in with the 06

Re: Hey Phil, Gotta keep sell'in those bubble tops
Fortunately for me and NCRS no die in the wool funatic members have bought a bubble top ,and I never have or would try to sell an NCRS member one, If I should post my 55 again I should remove it so not to a fend any one. And again it reminds me why I sold my 67 to a no-NCRS member.- Top

Re: Holly photos Bat Man
Roy, as far as I'm concerned, I like seeing your '55 pics, you keep posting 'em my friend. Not nearly enough '55s around so I will look at one any chance I get. Just remember, guys, people like Roy won't be around forever and then what are we gonna do, look at '06 pics all day? His knowledge about the early cars and desire to share that is a real blessing for us and we should take every advantage of it we can while we can.- Top

The NCRS used to be about driving cars
Back in the "good old days" many cars were driven to the meets - now it's rare to see any of the C3 or older cars that aren't trailer queens. What was it that made most of us connect with the Corvette? Likely it was a ride in one, seeing one run on the track, or something like that - no wonder most of the younger set are ignoring the Corvette. Pick on him as you may, but I bet Roy has encouraged more interest in C1 Corvettes by driving his all over the country than many of us have by trailering in an enclosed trailer! Every gas stop is an opportunity to meet a fresh new face that wants to know "what it is". Unfortunately, the mindset of trailer queens is why the NCRS is morphing into a club for professional restorers and dealers to get an award so they can then sell the car for more $$$. I guess we reap what we sow.
