Re: 1958 interior
Al Knoch Interiors of ElPaso Texas, (in partnership with Corvette Concepts by Crown), would probably be the best place to buy a, "Chatham" grained 1958 interior. The dash job depends on the amateur. Some are handy, some are not. Several articles have appeared in, RESTORER MAGAZINE over the years about this very difficult job. A careful study is worthwhile before making a decision. There ARE some, "tricks of the trade" that are unreported. If you had the job done by a professional C1 restoration shop, it may be cheaper in the long run but you would loose the satisfaction of doing it yourself. Tough call. Like I say, depends on the workman's capabilities.

Re: 1958 interior
Bob, just finished putting in my first padded dash in my 60 and using an Al Knoch dash sure made it easy - very little foam to cut out from behind the cluster and a very good fit. I found that any number of vendors will sell you Al's interior parts at a much lower price than you can get direct and if you live in Tx like I do you avoid the tax as well. I used Mary Jo in California and was pleased as always with her service and price.- Top
