We currently make only one copper/brass radiator, that would be the 66-68 BB. I was wondering if there was any demand out there for others? Maybe the 69-72 BB and/or the 69-72 SB 26". I don't want to invest and make it just because we can. Someone has to tell me if it's worth it our not. Also keep in mind that copper is up 350% in one year, so you better REALLY want an original.

Re: 69-72 BB Radiator Demand
I'll be getting one of your reproduction cores for my 71 SB with AC and have my original unit re-cored. I suspect that whether I'd want an entire unit would depend on the price difference between a correctly re-cored original, and a complete reproduction.
Just my thought.

Re: 69-72 BB Radiator Demand
The core price has doubled since last year, now $445. The complete radiator requires end tank tooling and I'd need to see a lot more interest than one person. Tooling for this would be in the tens of thousands.- Top

Re: 69-72 BB Radiator Demand
Very interested for my 70 L-46. I've aquired 2 radiators for the tanks in hope of re coring, but the tanks are not what I'd like them to be condition wise.
I'm assuming your investment for making the tanks would yeild a match to the original dsign?- Top

Re: 69-72 BB Radiator Demand
Tom... add me to the list for a SB copper/brass rad. Also,,,when ever I see a used one pop up on ebay,,,, it's always sold with spirited bidding... and if a "Buy It Now Price" exists,,,, its gone the same day as listed. Thanks for all you do for us!!- Top

Very few inquires
I would think both the 69-72 BB and 69-72 SB original radiators would be wanted considering the current price levels of these cars, yet we get asked about them only 2-3 times per year and the tags even less. Since the tags are steel and fall off often I would think most of them are gone. But one or two people "signing up" isn't going to get it done. Someone is going to have to spearhead a movement to make this happen.- Top

Re: Very few inquires
Tom,
I called your company earlier this year inquiring about your radiaors as to whether the BB rad you list for a 71 LS5 car was correct reproduction. Whoever I talked to told me that it was not and that was all that was available. Maybe more people have called looking for one but it hasn't been noted or explained a bit more. I have been looking for over a year now and have bought two used ones hoping for tanks and both have not worked out. Still looking.
There must be a lot more people out there in my perdicament.

Start a new thread
Ok, well why don't you start a new thread asking for people to sign up for one. We can monitor the thread for several months and see what happens. I would be willing to run something in the Driveline too if that would get people to respond but based on what I see on the C3 section of the Corvetteforum most C3ers are not doing to judging thing.- Top

"...based on what I see on the C3 section of the Corvetteforum most C3ers are not doing to judging thing."
You'd have to start selling your radiators through Summit Racing Products for the guys on Corvette Forum to notice, and even then they still won't care.
Wrong audience altogether.
