Hi, I realize this is a subjective question but here it is. What is the approximate value of a Corvette 1957 Dual Point Distributor and a 1966 Corvette Capacitor Discharge (Distributor only) non vaccum advance worth? I have each of these items and am considering selling. Thanks.

I have no idea what the 57 dual point is worth. However, there was no such thing as a 1966 "capacitor discharge" igntion, although you might be referring to a transistor ignition (TI). Even in that case, though, there was never any 1966 Corvette application that used a non-vacuum advance type unit. In fact, the only completely non vacuum advance distributors used on any 62-82 Corvette were the dual point units used for some SHP 1962-63. 1967-69 L-88/ZL-1 used a non vacuum advance distributor, but the units did have a non-functional vacuum control component. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Hate to disagree with Roy on this but a 57 dual point can be worth quite a bit if it is in good condition and complete. Of course it depends on someone looking for that part number and date.
