    1956 T-3 Advertisement

From a January 13, 1956 Traverse City, Michigan, newspaper. I did not realize that the T-3 headlamps were evolutionary.

      Roy,

I remember our phone number from back then in our small town, 699.

I believe the T-3's were the first sealed beams to have the three nubs on the reflector to use for aiming.

Phone # was 22 here until we got modern with the dial system 54 years ago today.

I'd have thought they could have found a little taller operator to aim those headlights so he could bend over a little further.

Ergonomics must not have invented yet.

Not only did he drag his knuckles on the ground aiming the lights, he probably had to get in the car and drive it to the next station. He must be 6'5". Can you imagine him wadding himself up to fit that little car 100 times a day and driving it away after the 5'8" guy that drove it in his station ran the seat all the way up and he had to get in it to move it back!

Your post mentions a 'water test booth' was that to make sure they leaked?
