    Which ZR2 is this ??

Took this pic at Laguna Seca Historic Races, California --- 1987.

Do any of these ever change hands ? Seems to me [just like C1 tankers] they're below the radar screen

Pretty sure this is the same car in the same spot. I definitely remember being parked next to Jack Murray and the ZR2. I believe the car sold a while back.

Wayne, there are so few documented ZR-2's that they probably don't change hands as fast as 435's. I think that there is a good chance that some have changed hands as plain (if that is possible) LS-6's. But then again, who knows.

            Wayne,

Just found this pic. The guy on the left looking at the engine is Jack Murray, owner of the ZR2. I'm sure some of the guys that have been around a while will recognize him. His ZR2 was right next to us that day.

I know his car is real. Had a lot of paperwork as I remember. Unrestored.

                Wayne,

That is car # 14360. It was ordered with both tops and custom interior. An M22 with 4:11 axle ratio.

This car was advertised for sale on ebay by a classic car specialty dealership for the owner at a buy it now price of 750K. It was bid to $210,000, not meeting reserve.

A War Bonnet yellow coupe was consigned at Barrett-Jacksons showroom in AZ with a price of 475K awhile back.

I believe that the warbonnet car resided in MO for several years during the late '80's and early '90's. Owned by Al Mahanna (sp). Received a Duntov award in either Bend in '89 or Anaheim in '91

I was at Pro Team about two months ago and they had a warbonnet ZR2 their. I did not check not out as I didn't want to waste anyones time. It had just arrived and was on a lift.

                          Hi Bill,

Much of that weekend is cloudy for me. I trailered the L88 to Laguna Seca from Illinois, played in the sun all weekend, then pulled it back home, 2200 miles, non stop. Left Laguna Seca at about 6:00 PM Sunday evening and arrived home Tuesday around 7:00 PM.

These days, if I travel only 22 miles to a local car show, I need a nap. Don't know how we did all the crazy things we did years ago.

Perhaps its interesting to know that there is also a ZR2 in the United Kingdom see following link: http://www.c3registry.org/index.php?...=296&ap_page=1

This is not the only Vette treasure driving around there.
