Forgive me founders, for I have sinned...

    ...I bought a Ford today.

Well actually, my dad and I bought a Ford today. That's him on the right. The builder, Marty Strode, is in the car.

Merry Christmas to me! Whoo hooo!

Flatheads gotta have Edlebrock or Offenhauser cylinder heads and Stromberg '97's carbs. An Isky 400JR would make it sound very sweet. Maybe a Kong or Jackson mag??

                I'm up in Seattle.

My dad and I have been down to visit Marty at his shop. He and his friends are very nice people. And yes, he certainly is talented.

Nah, it's a 3-speed with non synchro first gear. Old school.

I guess we were either nervous or just trying to be cool.

Just what I would like to build. Older ford V-8 flat head with vintage performance parts. Lots of fun. I bet it pumps out a whole 150hp! Terry

Now THAT brings back da memories!!!
Except, back in da day, there would have been t-shirts, and half-face helmets, and possibly a cee-gar hangin from da mouth!!
                            Thanks!!!

Are those really bias ply tires? If so, you are a brave man. Your original photo sure looks like bias.

How did it handle? How much weight versus hp?
