    Re: How about

Other than the obvious R/R, how about one of those survival wood cutting wires with the finger loops at each end. You could work it in between the leafs and saw cut it free up close to where all the leafs meet.

    Just an "out there" idea.

Trick question ? Swamp boys solved 1/2 the proble

Hey John, in your original 12/26 Tuesday post at 7.25PM you asked how to
"cheat so spring still stays in the car and the top TWO liners are somehow removed.
I think only the top ONE liner needs to be removed since the second one down uses a liner.
Half your work is done John thanks to swampers.
            Happy New Year, Robert

Robert, Really! So I only have to remove one liner. So the rest of the plies all get liners. Wow. That's good news Sr. Are you sure bout this? Nice judges at Marlborough said too many LINERS. Didn't say one LINER. How about it DB members. Does Jorjorian know the truth or is he blowin smoke again. Your courteous reply appreciated. Michael and Dr. Michael (Quido) is it true what the swamp guy Jorjorian says. The top ply gets no liners but the rest do.??? Thanks, John D.

John Boy.... not often ya gunna catch that other swamp boy bein wrong. If he says only one should be removed, I'd definitely go with it.

Here's a good shot of a 63 that has it's original spring. (and it's original everything else) I see it's missing A liner.

Re: Swamp boys are waiting for response John

Swamp Boys, Thanks for setting me (us) straight on the liner question. But I didn't know I only had one liner to remove. I will have to refer to my judging sheets to see exactly what was written about spring liners. Without looking I think that the judges said two liners had to go. Not ONE. Although you sent me a nice pic Mikey I need more PROOF. Not fair to say nice judges made a mistake. Probably though I made the mistake and assumed the spring had TWO extra liners. I think after the holidays I will put another post asking for further PROOF in the puddin'. It's been a fun 63 Corvette year thanks to nice fellows like you, RJ and the rest of the DB team. Too bad all of my life hasn't been as good. Oh well better times ahead.
Weather today in SW corner of PA almost 60 degrees. Hope you & RJ are sweatin' in the sweltering heat of the swamp. Happy New Year, John
P.S. When was the survivor car built you got the pic from. Oops. I meant bow tie car not SURVIVOR.
