Re: How long does it take?
She'll be coming around the mountain...sorry I couldn't resist.
You should have received your certificate and ribbon at the met. If you are referring to the judging/scoring sheets they usually follow in a month or so. Maybe with the holidays and depending on the number of cars judged there might be a delay. But if I were you I would contact your chapter judging chairman and inquirer.Bob- Top

Re: How long does it take?
You say 'after one top flights'... The judging process is called Flight and ribbons + certificates represent any of the three award possibilities (Third, Second, Top). Basically a 'nit' here...there is no 'Top Flight Judging' -- only 'Flight Judging'.
Back to your question, how long is too long to hear back. Well, Chapter meets differ slightly from Regional/National meets in that Flight Certificates awarded need to be officially numbered and recorded at Regional/National events while Chapters are left to make up their own certificate recording system.
For a long time, it was standard policy to give out the award ribbons to those owners attending the award ceremony and for the Flight Certificates + the Score Sheet packages to follow AFTER the results of a meet had been recorded and certified with a typical target interval of two weeks.
Today, the advent of laptop computers and portable printers allow chapters to generate Flight Certificates on-the-spot and hand them to the owners along with the Score Sheet package directly following the judging portion of the chapter meet. This saves time and postage and quite a few chapters are in the mode now of giving out ribbon, certificate, and score sheets there/then.
Regional and National meets still have the overhead of having to submit the results of the meet to the National Judging Chairman for certification and get Flight Certificate numbers back from National before their award certificates can be printed.
Bottom line, if it's been more than two weeks (which IS the case here) since the meet was conducted and you haven't received your Flight Certificate or your Score Sheet package, it's time to contact the meet judging chairman and make inquiry....- Top
