    removing outside stainless trim

    need help figuring out where to start to remove my outside trim on my 1963 conv. it has a couple of gaps under the lower cowl trim that i need to address , any special tools, or tricks i need to know about before i tackle it ? THANKS ALL

    I took mine off our 67 last month to get it polished. I don't know all the terminalogy but I started on the corner pieces of trim on the windshield inside the car first and worked my way to the outside. There are screws holding the first piece in place. As you take the pieces off from either side they sort of lay over the next one. I used a flat plastic putty knife to help wprk my way around but you want to be careful and not spring it or do more damage or scrape the paint. Unfortunately the lower center piece (if that's the one you need to address) was the hardest for me to remove. I'm sure someone else will post something that may be more helpful. Good Luck. Shooter
