Re: Interesting
Joe-- I think that it is nice that we were informed of the sale. However, why did the members of the NCM not get first crack at the parts. It is okay for us to support the NCM but when there is something that the NCM could do for the members, then we just have to stand in line with the rest of the public,
I do not like it at all.- Top

Re: Interesting
Don..The post was verbatim from the NCM web site. I just happened to notice it myself...and I too thought it was interesting that it was handled in this manner.
I didn't realize our National Shrine was in the Ebay business.
I will keep my personal thoughts personal on the matter.
Maybe someone on this DB that works at the NCM could fill us in. Had I known before that certain items on Ebay were being sold by the NCM to support the NCM..I might have gone to their auction items first.- Top

Re: Interesting
Hopefully Joe Lucia takes note.
Then again, as curator of the Joe Lucia Memorial NOS Parts Museum, I'm taking note.

Re: Interesting
It's a tough call for non-profits to make the call on behalf of members and its non profit motive and the desparate need for revenue streams to keep operations going. I can't get too excited about their decision to place pallets of parts on eBay versus the logistics of offering to members first.Tom Russo
