Re: Dreaming of a white Christmas?
Well, no wonder Santa didn't bring you that new Z06 for Xmas. He knows that things such as this occur in areas a mile above the rest of the world. Bet ya don't get a lotta hurricanes or earth quakes tho....- Top

Re: Dreaming of a white Christmas?
Actually, the house is on the US Geological Survey Map and she interpolates to 7930' in altitude, Mike. That makes it a mile and a half high here... But, our mountains peak at just below three miles high, so we look at it as a 'happy' medium!- Top

Re: Dreaming of a white Christmas?
Bet that's a pretty sight.... from inside the house. Too cold to be outside there now for me though. We're about 11 feet here. Sometimes -11 feet in hurricane season.
Colorado is a beautiful state.- Top

Re: Dreaming of a white Christmas?
There's nothing like putting the top down on the '66 and taking a cruise up in the Rockies. I spent 22 yrs in the USAF, living in great places all over this country and in my humble opinion, nothing compares to Colorado. I'll take the occasional blizzard (ok, 2 in a week is more than occasional) over hurricanes, tornados or earthquakes (I grew up in SoCal) anytime.- Top

Here in the SW mntns Of Colo. Were up to 3 feet so far. (Supposed to snow till Sun.) Were at 8500ft, located a the base of Continental Divide w/(10) 13K Mnts in the backyard. Sound of music country. Be awhile before any rides get out, let alone us. As John Belushi said "So Quiet ya can hear a mouse fa--."- Top
