I just wanted to know what the correct paint is that is used to paint a 1967 Corvette rallye wheel. Also where can I get it and what is the correct part number for ordering it. As always thanks for any and all help.
Contact your local chevy dealer they sell ralley wheel spray paint. Or any outfit like Ecklers 1-800-327-4868 they sell the same GM paint or can direct you in the right direction to get the code number. You can also save a few bucks by going to a local parts house that sells aerosol spray paint in cans called Plastic-Kote,they will have a color code book for you to look up the proper code and paint use. The cap on the can will indicate the color also. Glad you own a 67. I do too. Seems like there are more now than when produced. Just joking. Good luck,grr#33570
A PPG rep gave me a quart of this factory pack acrylic lacquer and said it's for the Rally Wheels, but I don't know if it applies to all years. Hopefully someone can confirm or refute. I recall the paint is referred to as Regent Silver, but the name on the can just says "Non-Smudge Aluminum", also in two other languages - Spanish and (I think) French.
The information that I have is, the correct color is Argent Bright Silver Rallye Wheel paint, Part #642176 at $9.95 a can from CCentral at 800-345-4122.
