69 door hinge paint

I am getting close to painting my 69 coupe and I was wondering if anyone has pictures of this area? My quesion is, what color are the door hinges? Mine had been painted during a later paint job but in rebuilding the hinges I saw no sign of the original paint color on those hinges. I would have thought that they would have been installed when the car was originally painted.

The hinges were installed when the car was originally painted and they should be covered with paint -- at leas the part one can see with the door opened. Perhaps the hinges have been replaced.

Like Terry said, the car was painted with doors on the car, and the jambs and hinges were painted as well as could be painted with the doors open. As a result, coverage on the front jambs and hinges may less than perfect.

The color of the hinges BEFORE installation was a GM satin black dip primer...if yours have been replaced, then that should be their color if new GM hinges were used.
