    The crossed flags part looks right. However, the lower label does not look right to me. Several things:

    1) The style of the block lettering does not look right to me; it looks like the letters are too "bold" or "thick";

    2) The lower label appears to be a 2 piece label. The original labels were 1 piece, although there was a divider line between the "Turbo Jet" and the "450 HP";

    3) Notice how the edges of the "450 HP label" are lifting at the corners. This is a characteristic of reproduction labels.

      This car had not been driven for many years, certainly not in the years where reproduction labels would have been in style. I think 1970-71 was the last time this car was regestered. The label my be from a chevelle LS6. I restored this car for a guy in midland Texas that sold his chip business and did not have money problems. He wanted to make a Grand Sport out of the car. When I saw the low milage,numbner 007xx 427/450 all numbers matching and one owner I persuaded him to do the car correctly. The car is green/black leather, 456, side pipes and telescoping steering wheele CPE.

        Ronnie -

        The original decal was all one piece, and there was a hyphen between "Turbo" and "Jet" ("Turbo-Jet").

              Ronnie-----

              These air cleaner decals have been around for a LONG time. Dealers used to have them in their display cases "WAY back when". In fact, I bought some (although not this one) in 1966. I still have them. I think that they were actually factory pieces. However, I think that there were "reproductions" out there even in the 60's. I think that the Chevelle labels were one piece, too. Plus, as I mentioned, I've never seen a factory label lift at the corners.
