Hi all

I dont know too much about 63's so I need some help. Is it known how many Tuxedo Black cars were made?, How many 340hp cars were made?.

Would a Tuxedo Black 340hp car be considered rare?.

Hello Steve; The "Black Book" shows 6,978 340 HP cars in 63 out of a total number of 21,513 produced. No breakdown of coupes/convertibles. Also, my "Black Book" does not give a breakdown for Tuxedo Black. Hope this helps.

The word 'rare' is an 'eyes of the beholder' terms. In '63, certainly Grand Sport and Z06 cars were rare, A/C equipped high horse convertibles were rare. But, Tux black/340 HP (you don't say if it's a coupe or convertible) cars aren't in the same league.

Now, don't take me wrong. Either way, this is a FINE CAR to own and many prefer this engine compliment to the expense and complexity of a FI power plant. But, 'rare' is usually reserved for the
