I have a 60 fuel car with I believe a 61-62 radiator support. I bought a new tank top radiator from dewitts and it doesn't fit in the support correctly. I know the difference in a 58-9 brass radiator support, can someone tell me the difference in 60 to 62 supports. Can I make a 62 work in a 60 tank top, if that is what I have? Or buy a repo that paragon lists? Will the paragon radiator support pass judging? Thanks, for any help.
60, early 61, 62 radiator support, Differences??

Re: The quick observation difference for a '60
Also,
Unless my memory is failing, the 60 support does not have the holes to mount the top clamp for the radiator, since the top-tank radiators are mounted in side brackets. Other than that and the drain location, I think they are the same.

Re: The quick observation difference for a '60
Thanks everyone, I am thinking of modifying my 61-62 radiator support to make it a 60. I think if I weld the top holes and knock off the welded nuts it will then look exactly like a 60 support for tank top. Correct?- Top

Re: The quick observation difference for a '60
I am in the process or restoring or repairing my 61 radiator support. Are there nuts welded to the support for the bolts that secure the fan shroud or are hex nuts used.
Thanks for the help!

Re: The quick observation difference for a '60
The nuts are welded to the inside frame, to hold the fan shroud and secure the core support to the side braces between the core support and fender. The welded nuts are 4 sided square nuts, 3/8 16, I believe.- Top
